Advisory for major GTM initiatives – Clients assign the build-out, launch or re-tool of an essential part of their GTM to a talented team. But that team is often overloaded or inexperienced in key ways. I help clients prioritize to the most critical path, advise and collaborate on key decisions/analyses, and/or pick up an element of the work myself. Projects in this area have included:
- Launch of a BDR function, CRM migration and development of first consolidated “all sales” deck for a tech-enabled firm in financial services.
- Build out of an industry-specific motion for an online marketing firm.
- Re-launch of a stalled SAAS product for an ad agency
- Re-tool of a media company’s data offering that was getting lost in the shuffle competitively and by their sales team
Product Marketing / Sales Enablement / Launch Strategy – Many firms fall short in the transition of a product into a solution and set of organizational motions which earn revenue growth for multiple years. I work with product, marketing, sales and RevOps organizations to turn good products into measurable results – success is measurable, solution competitive value is obvious, and reps, SEs and CS personnel can enthusiastically sell.

Demand Gen-to-Outreach: Audit, TuneUp and AI StepUp – Changes are sweeping into B2B tech in demand gen, while financial services and other companies outside of tech are realizing they can adapt “tech-like” motions to get a competitive advantage in their B2B markets. In this area, Crowley consulting offers:

Pricing/Packaging Strategy – As a consultant, product marketer and GM , I’ve led organizations through pricing changes including:
- creating packages that grew deal size and introduced new products to market;
- coaching sales organizations to actually adopt significantly different product pricing;
- building pricing structures that effectively addressed small business, international and channel market segments, and
- creating materials that tied pricing increases tied to value drivers
Interim Executive – I’ve worked with clients who need to make progress quickly in a single or multi-functional area, want to develop an inexperienced team or leader and cannot afford a gap in management. I’ve been the fractional CRO and can be a partial CCO or CMO.
M&A, Due Diligence and Integration Support – At TechTarget and in my consulting, I’ve :
- created market maps with product, engineering and sales leaders to guide acquisition strategy
- run due-diligence efforts pre and post LOI
- designed and managed complete re-positioning and integration efforts for tuck-in and large scale acquisitions.
